These Official Rules govern participation in the Week Without Driving Las Vegas Giveaway. By entering, you agree to follow them.
Who runs it
Las Vegans for Better Transit (LVBT), a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, sponsors and administers this giveaway. No purchase, donation, or social media post is required to enter or win.
Who can enter
A person can enter if they live in Clark, Esmeralda, Lincoln, or Nye County, Nevada, and are 13 or older. People ages 13 through 17 need a parent or guardian’s approval before they sign up. People who review entries or draw the winner cannot win the prize.
When to enter
Entries are open each day from October 1 through October 8, 2026. Each day begins at 12:00 a.m. and ends at 11:59 p.m. Las Vegas time. A person must submit a trip on the day they took it.
How to enter
Each person signs up once at lvwwd.org/sign-up with a first name, email address, ZIP code, county, and age group. An Instagram handle is optional.
On a day a person takes a trip without driving, they can open My week, choose how they got around, and describe the trip. Bus, walking or rolling, biking or scooting, and getting a ride all count. My week needs an internet connection to submit an entry. A post link or screenshot can be added, but neither is required. The separate “Was anything hard?” question is optional and does not replace the trip description.
An Instagram post or Story can count only if it comes from the handle saved with the person’s sign-up, shows a trip without driving, and tags @lasvegasfortransit. LVBT checks those tags by hand. Posts from another handle do not count. A post used to enter must say “Week Without Driving giveaway entry” at the start of the caption or in the Story. A person can also submit the trip in My week.
There is no mail entry. A person can receive one entry each day and no more than eight entries total. A My week entry and an Instagram tag for the same day receive one entry. LVBT checks each entry before the drawing. Duplicate entries and entries that do not describe a trip without driving do not count.
Prize and drawing
One winner receives one 30-day RTC bus pass. There is no cash alternative. By October 15, 2026, LVBT will draw one winner at random from eligible, reviewed entries and send an email to the address the winner gave at sign-up. Each eligible entry has one chance, so the odds depend on the total number of eligible entries.
Claiming the prize
The winner must reply to LVBT’s email within seven days after LVBT sends it. If the winner does not reply or cannot accept the prize, LVBT will draw another winner. A parent or guardian must accept the prize for a winner under 18. LVBT will arrange delivery with the winner and will never ask for money, passwords, or bank details to release the prize.
Your information
LVBT uses sign-up details and trip entries to run and review the giveaway, contact the winner, and fulfill the prize. The Privacy page describes data use and deletion.
